Still a classic! September 29, 2008 Wonderful book! I use this for my students and my own children. CD was a great addition.
Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see September 15, 2008 Excellent book for preschool and kindergarten. This book can be used to reinforce color recognition. It is also beautifully illustrated. The free CD is an extra bonus!
Good book for early language development August 30, 2008 I cannot say that my daughter (now 22 months) was really fascinated by the book itself, maybe because we don't have it as a board book, so she was not allowed to handle it when we got it. She was probably 9 months or so. She is not into the animals, and she is still indifferent to a book. However, the story flow generated a game for the times when Anna is bored and getting fussy, for example, for longer car rides. I would say, Anna, Anna, what do you see? and then would make up the next verse, for example, I see my sandal looking at me. She likes this game, and I think it helps well with language development. Now she sometimes supplies the verse subject, for example, I see papa. I still have to come up with action, but it's a progress.br /
defective merchandise July 8, 2008 This particular book has an included CD. The CD sleeve was glued upside down to the back cover so that when you open the book it falls out of the book. It is not worth it to me to send the book back to the seller for replacement, but it does sour me on the Amazon experience.
Good book bad CD March 10, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love his book and the original tape that goes with it of Bill Martin reading the book and the book being sang. Gwneyth Partrow should stay with acting or bed time stories. My students reacted better to my off key singing than to her sleept voice.
