Product Description A classic Christmas picture book, One Wintry Night tells the story of a mountain boy who is injured in a snowstorm and seeks refuge in a cabin. While he waits out the storm, the woman who lives there tells him the Christmas story. Starting with the very creation of the world and ending with the resurrection, the boy discovers the big picture of God's plan for his people and situates the nativity within the scope of history. Breathtakingly illustrated by renowned artist and author Richard Jesse Watson, One Wintry Night is the perfect gift for the young and the young-at-heart.

One Wintry Night January 6, 2009 The illustrations are absolutely delightful - each full of color and magnificent detail. The story is a full summary of the Biblical account for salvation in the context of Christmas, starting with Creation, through the Old Testament, to Jesus. It's good reading for young ones who are learning these Truths; yet a little too much detail for more mature readers. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and getting lost in the illustrations! I highly recommend this book!
Excellent! January 1, 2009 This book is excellent--I love Ruth Bell Graham. The illustrations are wonderful and my 6 year old daughter loves it. I will certainly buy more copies of this book for gifts. It reflects the imtimate knowledge that Mrs. Graham had about the Bible and is a wonderfully written story. It is a great book to purchase for Christmas. Truly it is the best story ever told.
The Best Christmas Book September 23, 2008 Ruth Bell Graham, the wife of Billy Graham wrote what I think is the most comprehensive Christmas book for children ever. It tells not just of the birth story of Christ, but the whole story of Christmas and Easter. It is a fairly long book for a parent to read in a single night, so I use it as part of my advent celebration and break it up into five nights...with the final night on Christmas Eve. It's been a tradition in our home for several years and it's something the kids look forward to. It's far better than reading "The Night Before Christmas" if you want your kids to know the true meaning of Christmas.
One Wintry Night December 1, 2007 Excellent book for around the holidays. I know it is a kids book, but it is an all around family book.
Wonderful Illustrated Story February 2, 2007 This book is a wonderful keepsake. I feel it should be made a "classic". I want all my family to have it. I have started getting it for everyone special in my family as a keepsake for their children. It is a beautifully illustrated story about creation and will be loved by all ages. We display it in our home every year during the Christmas season. A must have for new babies!!!
