2 out of 5 stars Took me awhile to figure it out....   December 21, 2008
I read this book years ago as a nanny to toddlers. I loved it just as much as they did so when I had my own baby last year I couldn't wait to get this book and read it to him. I rushed out and bought the board book so he could "read" it to himself if he wanted and the first time I read it to him I felt like something was missing but I couldn't figure out what. Then I stumbled upon something about "do you like my hat" on another website and bing! the lightbulb came on. That's why I read the board book version with hardly any joy or anticipation because it wasn't the same fun-to-read book from years before. Now that I realize the book has been butchered to a mere shadow of the beloved original, I am rushing out to buy the normal version as soon as possible. As the other purists have stated, don't buy this book if you are looking for the complete story P.D. Eastman wrote. You'll be very disappointed. If you, however, are just looking for a short, minimally worded book for your toddler then this is the book for you.

4 out of 5 stars Soft books for childcare providers   December 16, 2008
These soft books were purchased for childcare providers as part of a birth to age three literacy class. Children at this age need exposure to all kinds of books so they become familiar and comfortable handling books. These are great!

1 out of 5 stars Do NOT Buy!   November 13, 2008
This is not the original "Go, Dog, Go". It is an abridged version that leaves out all the fun. There is no "Do you like my hat?", or "Men at work", "Work Men Work". I was greatly disappointed!

1 out of 5 stars A Real Disappointment   August 12, 2008
The paper version of this book was my brother's favorite when he was little. This was a real disappointment! There are not many pages. There is nothing interactive. And there is no surprise party in a big tree at the end. Add to that, the pictures are faint and not likely to hold up to washing. Save your money. Get the real Seuss version of this book when your child is older.
