4 out of 5 stars Good Book   August 13, 2008
The book was what I had hoped it would be. Good quality and well done.

5 out of 5 stars She loves it!   June 3, 2008
My daughter asks a lot of questions about God and religion. Thought this might be a good book for her to have. She loved it!

I would suggest this book for school age children. My toddlers don't find it interesting enough to keep their attention. Great book for later on, though.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent book for kids   February 2, 2008

I've really struggled to explain prayer in a meaningful way to my daughter and I am very impressed at what a wonderful job this author does in making prayer understandable, relevant, and valuable for children. There are lots of great examples and explanations, and the book is nicely illustrated and fun to read.

3 out of 5 stars sweet, but didn't answer daughter's questions   December 24, 2007

My daughter has been asking why God doesn't talk back to her when she prays (age 3 1/2). This is a very complicated thing to explain to a child, and I hoped this book might help explain (literally) "What happens when [she] talks to God." It didn't help at all. It's a sweet book and she loves the illustrations, but as for the mechanics of prayer, it didn't help us. Still, I would recommend it because it really does address a lot of other issues (what to pray about, when to pray, etc.)
