We love this book! January 6, 2009 A simple great starting point for discussion. Multi-religional and very helpful for my daughter who is asking questions about why different religions don't get along. I have bought this book for all of my friends with children.
I could not have put it better. December 14, 2008 I love how this book so simply, openly, and honestly approaches a heavy questions that we all ask ourselves throughout our lives. The pictures are lively, it is brief and simple enough for children while being satisfying for this agnostic adult.
Perfect Interfaith Introduction to God for Kids December 4, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I found this book perfect for introducing my four-year old to the idea of God, and the way different religions view God. Designed to answer a child asking 'what is God?', it provides both a poetic and open-ended vision, and introduces the idea of world religions by exploring the different ways each view God. It includes a page on each religion's holy books, and even touches on the concept of religious intolerance and disagreement. If you have a very orthodox view of God, this book might not be for you, but if you consider yourself more interfaith-oriented, it is perfect.
This is NOT a christian book, this book claims we are God? No, GOD is GOD! November 30, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
I am alarmed that this book was under the Christian category, it's so far from Christian teaching. God is not a leaf, an elephant, or the moon.br /br /God is God, the first and the last, the ancient of days, NOT ME or YOU!!!br /br /Jesus Christ was not a "teacher". He is God, the son of man, the light of the world. br /br /This book is so off the beat and path, that am going to throw it away rather them donate it to a library or good will, we certainly do not need to fill our children's mind, body and soul with this false truth. br /br /Let's all open our Bibles and read the real truth to our children.br /br /God Speed~
All About God July 29, 2008 Finally, a book that makes it easy to share all the ideas of God with children. In it's exploration of all the different kinds of beliefs, children can see all paths to God as different, yet perfect, and without one way having to be better than the other.br /br /This book explores: what God means to different people, different holy books that are read, how they connect to God through prayer, meditation, and more.br /br /"If you can feel that feeling of God,br /And everybody else can feel that feeling of God,br /Then we can all become friends together,br /And we can really understand,br /"What is God?"
