We bought "Vocabulary Cartoons" for my daughter (and later for my son) when she was getting ready to take the PSAT and she really enjoyed the book. The mnemonic method makes the words stick in your memory. br /br /We were able to track our kid's progress through the use of the "Review" tests included after every ten words. The tests are matching word to definition and fill in the blanks. br /br /As a side note, I also enjoyed the book and found a few new word meanings.br /br /Highly recommended! very good and interesting studying material December 3, 2008
I bought this book to study for my SAT exams. I haven't taken them yet, but so far, I've managed to learn a ton new words. This book not only makes learning easy and fun (at least compared to the other SAT wordlists I've bought) they have tests and quizes at the end of every group of 10 words. It really helps you to memorize and retain the words. Overall, this is a very good book and it comes in a convenient size so you can study on the go. GET THIS BOOK ASAP!!--especially if you plan to take the SAT's!

Good book with fun and helpful aides that help students connect the vocab words with images and associations. However, page twenty-seven contains are rather irratating sentence that denotes people of Latino ethniticity as "procrastinators." Pretty unnecessary remark considering the braod usage of this term.
