 Pirate DK Eyewitness book February 8, 2008
As always any DK book is great!! Good pictures durable hardcover book. I bought this for my 10 year old son. Lots of captions as well as the actual reading part. This will be a treasured book for years to come!! Books like these make learning fun.
A GIFT FOR NEPHEW December 29, 2007
I bought this book from Amazon last year as a Christmas gift for my then almost [...] nephew, and he loved it. He and I are big Pirate fans. I even read this book myself. My nephew thought that this book was cool. It offers an in depth subject of pirates that is both interesting and informative. Learn about some famous pirates, their ships and way of life on sea as well as on land. These Eyewitness books are great. A highly recommended pirate book. AARGH.

I bought this book for my 14 yr old son and when he saw it, he kept saying that's AWESOME, that's AWESOME! He especially liked the "Awesome" poster and he put on the back of his bedroom door. I think these books are totally awesome and well detailed.

So Great it Lasts a Decade August 29, 2005
Right, so I've had this book for 10 years, and yeah, it's probably a slightly different version, but regardless, I've had it for ten years and it's downright useful. I'm an artist and writer, and it's a great thing to have. The pictures are very, very vivid, and the short tidbits on piraticalness are excellent accompanionments. In fact, this book started my interest in piracy. And though it is definitely not the only book in my pirate collection nowadays, it's just as loved and useful as when it was.
