Amazon.com Review For a little one who is reluctant to go to bed, sometimes a silly book is just the ticket. And when it comes to silly books, Sandra Boynton is the undisputed queen. In IThe Going to Bed Book/I, an ark full of animals watches the sun go down and then prepares for bed. They take a bath ("in one big tub"), find pajamas, brush their teeth, do exercises up on deck (imagine an elephant jumping rope, a moose lifting weights, and a pig doing handstands), and finally say good night. blockquote The moon is high. The sea is deep. br They rock br and rock br and rock br to sleep. br /blockquote Boynton's inimitable animal characters have graced the pages of scads of picture books over the years. She has an extraordinary knack for knowing what appeals to small children: simple rhymes, goofy animals in goofy settings, and sweet, comforting stories. This book, along with her many other board-book titles (IMoo, Baa, La La La!/I, IBut Not the Hippopotamus/I, and others) will surely remain a favorite. (Baby to preschool) I--Emilie Coulter/I

Great for bedtime January 10, 2009 My son loves this book. He requested it every night for me to read before bedtime. We actually read it so much he memorized it at the age of 3. I was so impressed. I have bought other Sandra Boynton books, but this is the best.
Cute book December 22, 2008 My daughter loved this book when she was younger. I bought it for my friends kids.
Sure to be a Favorite. December 19, 2008 This book has proven to be a favorite book to read before bedtime, for both of my children. Perfect to get for a child between ages of 1 and 2.
Great Bed Time Book December 19, 2008 My son loves listening to this book before bed at night. He is now 3 years old, and still loves to read this book along with other longer books, such as Green Eggs and Ham, or Bad Dog Marley. I have read this book to him so many times that I have it memorized " The sun has set not long ago...now everybody goes below...to take a bath in one big tub, with soap all over, scrub, scrub, scrub." It's a great book for bedtime, because in the end of the book all the characters go to bed. Nice way to get him to think about sleeping.
The Going To Bed Book December 12, 2008 My grandchildren love this book and Mom or Dan have to read it every night.br /They love the pictures and still ask questions of Mom or Dad. Will order more of Sandra's silly books in future.
