5 out of 5 stars for young booklovers   February 23, 2008
These books are helping my grandson learn the enjoyment of reading. He was having a hard time, but these books hold his attention and he really looks forward to getting a new one in the series.

3 out of 5 stars A Fun Book   November 25, 2007
This story was pretty intriguing. I am 22 years old and I am studying to be a math teacher, and one of my assignments for a class was to read a children's chapter book. I decided to read this one, because I have read an R. L. Stine book in the past, and I love scary movies and books. I thought some of the parts were pretty sappy, but I was surprised how much the story intrigued me and made me want to keep reading. There are many references to numbers of things within the book, which can be used to help teach your kids or students about math. I do not recommend this book for really young readers, because it would probably be too scary for them. However, I do recommend it for grades 2 or 3 and up, especially if it is an assignment close to Halloween. The children should enjoy it immensely, that is if they are into scary stories.

5 out of 5 stars One of the Best Books I've Ever Read   September 20, 2007
What started out as a family adventure to Zoo Gardens ended up being maybe the scariest day ever...br /br /When they got lost trying to find Zoo Gardens theme park, the Morris family spotted a billboard advertising a different park named "Horrorland" and decided to try it. As soon as they got out of the car, it exploded and when they walked into Horrorland, the gates closed and locked. Everyone was dressed as monsters throughout the theme park and the guests seemed to enjoy that. Except no one knew that they were in real live danger. After they were forced to buy tickets, Mr. and Mrs. Morris went to find about the car and left Lizzy, Luke, and Clay to play on the Doom Slide. After the Doom Slide, they were scared to go on to the House of Mirrors, the Bat Barn, and much more.br /br /This amazing book by R.L. Stine was probably one of the best books I've ever read. I loved the description she used to make you feel scared for the characters and always wanting more. And always remember, once you pick up a Goosebumps you can never put it down...br /br /Christina D.br /Grade 6br /Ms. Kawatachi

Me and my brother read this one at the same time. It starts out slow but it turns into one of those 'we took a wrong turn but look where we ended up' type book. And what a perfect area to get lost in--an amusement park. An amusement part gone horribly wrong. I love the way they use everything in the park from the house of mirrors all the way to the roller coasters. But the end of the book is the best part. Enjoy!
