Product Description
p align="center"bbigIf You Could Change Your Life by Reversing Your Biggest Regrets, Sorrows and Mistakes...Would You?/big/bP#1 INew York Times/i bestselling author and renowned radio and television host Glenn Beck delivers an instant holiday classic about boyhood memories, wrenching life lessons, and the true meaning of the gifts we give to one another in love.PIWe weren't wealthy, we weren't poor -- we just were. We never wanted for anything, except maybe more time together..../iPWhen Eddie was twelve years old, all he wanted for Christmas was a bike. Although his life had gotten harder -- and money tighter -- since his father died and the family bakery closed...Eddie dreamed that Isomehow/i his mother would find a way to have his dream bike gleaming beside their modest Christmas tree that magical morning. PWhat he got from her instead was a sweater. I"A stupid, handmade, ugly sweater"/i that young Eddie left in a crumpled ball in the corner of his room.PScarred deeply by the realization that kids don't always get what they want, and too young to understand that he already owned life's most valuable treasures, that Christmas morning was the beginning of Eddie's dark and painful journey on the road to manhood. It will take wrestling with himself, his faith, and his family -- and the guidance of a mysterious neighbor named Russell -- to help Eddie find his path through the storm clouds of life and finally see the real significance of that simple gift his mother had crafted by hand with love in her heart.PBased on a deeply personal true story, IThe Christmas Sweater/i is a warm and poignant tale of family, faith and forgiveness that offers us a glimpse of our own lives -- while also making us question if we really know what's most important in them.

5 out of 5 stars Easy Read   January 9, 2009
Glenn Beck has written a book that shows forgiveness through learning and knowing self through emotions, experience and challenges of life. Forgiveness of self leads to forgiving others.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book   January 8, 2009
After reading in one day, I gave it to my wife and then she gave it to some friends. Everyone who has read it loves it.

5 out of 5 stars The Christmas Sweater   January 8, 2009
We purchased "The Christmas Sweater" as a gift for my husband's Boss, and he read the book in one day. Was very impressed , says everyone should read the book.

5 out of 5 stars The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck   January 8, 2009
This book reminded me of some things that happened in my early life, I grew up on a farm. I just finished reading where it got very sad. I had to stop reading for a while, too many tears! I can't wait to finish it, Glenn said there would be a more cheery area. It is so much like what real life really is about.

2 out of 5 stars Entertaining but lacking substance   January 8, 2009
Altough the book was certainly entertaining, I wonder whether those experiences should have had a different effect on Mr. Beck, maybe grow up a little more open minded? a little less rascist? but then again... maybe the novel is not based on his experiences at all, and in that case I give it one more star!
