Annoying January 7, 2009 I already reviewed this CD but my review isn't listed. If I could I wouldn't have given this any stars. I found this below par for Evanovich, truly foul play. I liked disc 1 but skipped thru many tracts on disc 2 3. I could still follow the story, indicating this was a two disc story. Unfortunately by disc three I didn't care about any of the characters, they were silly, childish annoying. I was rooting for the only good character--The Rooster. I'll never know how the story turned out because I couldn't bring myself to listen any more. Don't waste your money.
Bad Ending! December 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was loving this quirky book until close to the end. It was witty, funny and made me laugh out loud. The characters are fun and the thought of a clown losing her job to a chicken is absurdly hilarious! All was going well and I was enjoying the book (probably would have given it a 4 star rating) until the end. The last couple of chapters really didn't fit well. Spoiler Alert**** If the rooster deal was enough to drive Amy away, why did Jake not tell her what really happened in the end? A weather girl - no way! The ending felt too rushed and out of sync with the rest of the book. Wish Evanovich could go back and end this one properly. If I knew the ending was going to be so bad, I would not have read the book and I am a HUGE Evanovich fan!
Not much substance, but it made me smile December 23, 2008 This was just a quick listen (only 4 discs), but it was a cute little romance story, peppered with the quirky humor that Evanovich does so well in her Stephanie Plum series. It falls apart a little at the end, in an "okay, it's time to wrap this up!" sort of way, but it made me smile as I was listening.
LAugh fest December 21, 2008 A very amusing quick read. It tickled my funny bone as the events and characters unfold. I throughly recommend this book if you are looking for enjoyable fluff.
