5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Reading   December 22, 2008
I didn't think I would ever find any books I enjoyed as much as the Harry Potter books, but I'm hooked on Septimus Heap! I can't wait to read the next one and see what happens next! If you liked Harry Potter, you'll love Septimus Heap!

4 out of 5 stars Magyik Rocks!   December 18, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I like the book Magyik, by Angie Sage. It's about a boy named Septimus Heap, who was stolen from his family when he was born. On the same day, the dad of the family finds a strange baby girl in the woods. They raise her like one of there own. But who could she be? And what happened to Septimus? The story is set in a world where there are wizards, witches, ghosts, kings and queens.br /br /It's very surprising and entertaining, but it's a big book so before you read it, make sure you know it isn't too hard for you. br /My favorite part is when they find out who Septimus is. I hope I didn't give anything away!br /br /I command you,br /br /READ THIS BOOK!!!br /br /by Oliviabr /

5 out of 5 stars My daughter LOVED these books!   November 23, 2008
My 8 1/2 year-old daughter, who tore through all seven Harry Potter books, was looking for something as absorbing to read, and was captivated by the Septimus Heap series.

1 out of 5 stars Unknown surroundings and too much talk.   October 26, 2008
0 out of 2 found this review helpful

In Septimus Heap Book 1 2 there is too little detail about the background environment, where this fantasy takes place. Instead these books are bloated with dialog. The reader is left trying to picture the magical world that surrounds these wizardly characters. Read the Lord of the Rings instead.
