5 out of 5 stars Loved 5th, missed 6th, loved 7th   January 3, 2009

I have become a huge Patterson after reading the 5th Horseman, lapsed on the 6th Target and found my way back for 7th Heaven. I just love the play on numbers. This is the 7th novel in his Women's Murder Club series and the book starts off in as far a place from heaven as possible with victims found bound and gagged and burned. Yet the mystery doesn't begin there as Patterson reveals to us who the culprits are. The mystery begins in a two-plot fold. The SFPD are tracking down the culprits of a recent arson and the assistant DA and member of the Woman's Murder Club with a young harlot suspected in the disappearance of Mike Campion. But the DA is having relationship problems and is on the brink of self-destruction while the SFPD aren't having much luck either. Being new to Patterson it's difficult for me to comment on his past works, but I doubt the King of the Mystery Thriller would put his name on anything but the best. I'd also recommend reading: Sirens by Tin Geo Sirens...one of the best novels of 2008.

The rest of the book would of scored more stars with me but the ending where pidge shot his mother was bad,Ya didnt have to involve the kids mother,Its very unreal that pidge would be heartless enough to shoot his own mother.I have high hopes for the next book in the WMC series,If not I might have to stick with the alex cross series

5 out of 5 stars A great addition to Patterson's story line.   November 30, 2008

I loved all the Patterson books from this series. And this is no exception. I don't want to give ANYTHING away. Just get it. You'll love the ending.
